Create compressed files in gamemaker with realtime write.

This dll can write .gz files just like writing binary or text files.
There functions to write strings and real values and read text lines.
Offcourse you can just compress files into .gz.

This could be useful for making recordings of your game without a huge size. Game Maker Forum Topic
